Clinical Focus: Couples Therapist

“My spouse refused to see a marriage therapist so I decided to go by myself and I am so glad that I did. Megan helped me to see what I could change and gave me suggestions about how to make my marriage feel better for me. I feel so much better about my marriage.”

A MESSAGE FROM MEGAN

A lot of marriages & relationships go through hard seasons which often leads to people feeling hopeless and isolated.  Sometimes people get stuck feeling disconnected from their partner and don’t know how to get that feeling of connection back.  Additionally it can be challenging to find support when it feels too personal to go to friends or family.

Couples find themselves feeling stuck for various reasons, sometimes divorce has been threatened and neither partner feels capable of even navigating the next interaction.  Sometimes couples feel stuck because one partner has been unfaithful and they are questioning whether trust and repair is even possible for them.

Other times couples feel stuck because as much as they try to communicate well, they just aren’t able to get their needs met or feel confident that their partner understands them.

At Thrive Couples Counseling we specialize in helping couples and individuals through the hard seasons of their relationships.

We equip couples with the necessary tools to work as a team for a lifetime. Because when couples have the right tools, their relationships feel effortless, and doing life together is much more satisfying.

Many couples and individuals put off seeking help and tell themselves that they will handle their relationship challenges on their own and then find that little changes.  Many people tell themselves they will “call next week” to set up a therapy appointment or think,  “I’ll call if it gets worse.”

It is understandable that many people avoid getting started with couples counseling for a variety of reasons.  But I want people to know that if they make that phone call now they will put themselves on track to feeling more confident, secure, and more satisfied in their relationship.

If you’re ready to get the support you need for your relationship, head to our website, click the “Schedule an Appointment” button, and complete the form.

Upon receiving your completed form, someone from our office will be in touch with you to discuss setting up your first appointment.

Together, at your first appointment we will identify your goals and create a plan to move forward.

Through the therapeutic process you will begin to grow as a couple, learn to communicate effectively, and feel confident in your relationship.

We know that there is a temptation to wait for things to get better on their own, but if you want to get unstuck and get the tools needed to work together as a team for a lifetime, give us a call.  We can help!

End Miscommunication Today

We understand how frustrating & lonely it can be when you and your partner can’t get on the same page.

Divorce Is A Big Decision.

We Can Support You Through The Whole Process.

“When we started working with Megan I thought we were just checking the “see a therapist” box before filing for divorce. To my great surprise, we were able to identify what we were doing that made us both feel like giving up on our marriage. After a few months of working through our issues we decided that divorce was off the table. I have been so relieved not to have to put my family through that turmoil. And now I feel more capable of getting things back on track if we fall into old habits.”
