A MESSAGE FROM DONNA

Most couples want a marriage where they can be vulnerable with each other.  Where intimacy and loyalty come together and create a beautiful friendship where they can experience the fullness of life together.

The problem is, many couples often feel isolated and uncared for because of unmet expectations, miscommunication, and mistrust. Relationships take work and often times the work is reactive to a breach in trust due to physical or emotional infidelity, or to a loss in intimacy due to varying life demands, or a breakdown in communication when hard seasons of life come.

That’s why I specialize in helping couples and individuals through the hard seasons in their relationships.

I know how frustrating it can be when you feel like you and your partner are not on the same team, or how sad one can feel when you are second guessing if you made the right choice when you said “I do.”

I believe that couples can overcome hardship. Which is why, for the last 7 years, I’ve been helping couples and individuals restore trust and intimacy in their relationships.

It takes a lot of courage to take the first step in seeking help, which is why we’ve made it simple to get started with counseling.

First, fill out the new client intake form.

Second, we’ll create a plan and set goals for your relationship.

Third, you’ll begin to experience growth as a couple.

So if you want to stop feeling disconnected and discouraged about where your relationship is headed, and instead rebuild trust and intimacy, schedule an appointment today. I can help.

3 Things I Wish I knew Before Getting Married

Look, getting married is a beautiful thing. There’s so much excitement in planning your wedding and getting to see friends and family.  It can truly be a wonderful experience. But your wedding day is just a few hours. And the first year of marriage can present a lot of challenges and surprises that can impact your marriage for the long term, if you’re not prepared for them.

“Within the span of a year I was a newlywed and a first-time mother.  Life changed fast and I needed someone to help me figure out how to handle and adjust to change in general. Donna helped me process the ways in which my life was changing and how I could reshape my thinking to focus on the positive and practice mindfulness each day.  She was kind, open, and non-judgemental in her words and insight.”
